Pinot Noir 2022

Doug Olson, winemaker – “I am excited to introduce our 2022 Pinot Noir this fall. Pinot Noir has always been a special grape to owner Dave Albert, so this wine has been anxiously awaited. For me, Pinot Noir can be a challenge from many perspectives, both viticultural and ecological. The grape is delicate and requires a certain finesse throughout the year and an attentive hand during harvest and aging. The 2022 vintage was hot and relatively dry, producing tiny berries and clusters. The 2022 Pinot Noir was healthy and clean with beautiful phenolic and sugar ripeness. Production involves a variety of winemaking vessels and extraction techniques and is aged in 100% new French oak. I hope that you enjoy this wine as much as I have produced it and can appreciate the honest and pure nature of minimal intervention winemaking.
